MEN’S BASKETBALL | Chris Sodom Dismissed for Violating Team Rules

Freshman center Chris Sodom was dismissed from the Georgetown men’s basketball team for violating team rules, Georgetown Head Coach Patrick Ewing (CAS ’85) announced Dec. 19. The university has not yet provided further information on Sodom’s dismissal.

In six games this season, Sodom played a total of 27 minutes. Before his dismissal from the program, Sodom contributed four points, eight rebounds and three blocks to the Blue and Gray.

Sodom committed to Georgetown in May after de-committing from New Mexico, according to The Washington Post. His dismissal leaves freshman forward Antwan Walker as the only big man left on Georgetown’s bench who has played significant minutes this season.

This is a developing story. The post will be updated as more information becomes available.
