Jack the Bulldog Injured

Jack the bulldog has been limping badly since he injured a ligament on Sunday, according to his caretaker, Fr. Christopher Steck, S.J.

A preliminary visit to a veterinarian suggested that Jack tore the canine equivalent of an ACL. According to Steck, he likely injured himself while jumping on a couch Sunday morning. Jack will visit another veterinarian Tuesday to determine whether he will require surgery and what the rehabilitation process will be like.

Steck wrote in an email that Jack seemed to be getting better, but it is possible that instead of actually healing, he is developing a compensatory gait and could easily re-injure himself.

“Jack will continue to be around, we’ll have to wait and see on Tuesday what will be the rehabilitation process,” he wrote.
