While we appreciate Stephen Santulli’s (COL ’08) nod to The Georgetown Federalist and its independence from the university (“GU Stifles Student Speech,” THE HOYA, Feb. 5, 2008, A3), we would like to clarify some information in his piece. The Georgetown Federalist receives funding from a variety of sources, including donations, ad revenue and grants from the Collegiate Network in Delaware.

I find some fault in the conclusions Brendan Roach reaches in his article (“Curriculum Should Reflect the Times and the Diversity of GU Students,” THE HOYA, Dec. 7, 2007, A3). He claims that requiring a Catholic theology course seems “a waste of a course for non-Catholic Hoyas”, however I beg to differ.
