A Georgetown student was sexually assaulted on the 3500 block of O St. NW last Friday at about 3:45 a.m., according to an incident report filed with the Metropolitan Police Department.

“Complainant 1 reports that while at the listed location, she awoke to an unknown subject laying on top of her having non-consensual sexual intercourse with her. Suspect 1 entered the location in an unknown manner. Complainant 1 was unable to give a description of Suspect 1,” the report states.

The student lived in a privately-owned house, Director of Media Relations, Andy Pino confirmed. There were no signs of forced entry.

“MPD is conducting this investigation, and we’ve reached out to them to offer our full cooperation,” Pino said.

According to a Public Safety Announcement, the student filed a report with DPS at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

“I am definitely more scared to walk home alone, and I am taking more precautions when I go home at night,” said Sean DeLacey (COL ’10), who lives off campus. “It’s really scary that it happened inside someone’s home, not on the street,” she said.

PD currently has no description of the attacker. The Department of Public Safety was unavailable for comment.”
