The Department of Public Safety was contacted after unknown persons set off a fire extinguisher on a SafeRides van. No injuries were reported. No witnesses or suspects were identified.

Theft, Village C East, 3:18 p.m.
The complainant reported the theft of a GOCard and a room key.

Friday, Feb. 29
Burglary, Harbin Hall, 11:45 p.m.
The complainant reported the theft of a DVD case and DVDs.

Sunday, Mar. 2
Destruction of Property, Walsh Building, 12:29 p.m.
A broken window was discovered in a classroom located in the Walsh Building. A brick was found on the floor of the classroom. No witnesses or suspects have been identified.

Tuesday, Mar. 4
Suspicious Activity, Southwest Quad Parking Garage, 9:15 a.m.
DPS was contacted after the complainant discovered that an unknown person removed the transponders from several university-owned vehicles. No suspects or witnesses have been identified.

Theft, Dahlgren Library, 3:14 p.m.
The complainant reported the theft of a laptop and iPod.

Wednesday, Mar. 5
Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Kennedy Hall, 8:18 p.m.
A sword was removed from an unsecured and unoccupied room in Kennedy.

Harassment, Kober Cogan Building, 5:03 p.m.
The complainant reported receiving obscene messages on a voicemail. The suspect was identified.

Theft, Lauinger Library, 10:30 p.m.
The complainant reported the theft of a bicycle.

Theft, Leavey Center, 1:56 p.m.
The complainant reported the theft of electronic equipment.

Friday, Mar. 7
Theft, Parking Lot G, 3:15 p.m.
A booted vehicle was removed from the area without authorization.

When will DPS quit fudging their crime stats? Shouldn't Hoya's expect at least the same level of accountability and service from their campus police department as Colonials receive from the GW Police Dept?

THIS IS CALLED TAMPERING WITH AUTOS. IT IS A FELONY.

Quite typical of the false and doctored stuff I constantly see in this crime log, wherein it is appearant that DPS tries to make their crime stats that they are required to publish, look much lower and much severe than they really are.
