McAuliffe Named President of Bryn Mawr College

Dean of Georgetown College Jane McAuliffe was elected president of Bryn Mawr College today, and will take office on July 1.
McAuliffe, who has served as dean since 1999, was unanimously elected by the Board of Trustees of the all-women's college outside of Philadelphia.
McAuliffe graduated from the all-women's Trinity College in Washington, D.C. in 1968. She is a tenured professor in the history and Arabic and Islamic studies departments.

It's time that Georgetown gets a new dean of the college. Bring in Maher.

While Bryn Mawr may have done well for itself in picking their next president, Georgetown needs to see the good side of this and bring in someone that will elevate the College to the status it deserves. I mean, admit it - the College is pretty much stalemated with the nursing program for being at the "bottom of the barrel" at Georgetown, even though it could be just as good as SFS or MSB.

We will certainly see change. Hopefully it is change for the better.
