Student Injured in Sexual Assault

A student was injured in a sexual assault at 36th and N Streets early Sunday morning, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The incident, which occurred at 2:15 a.m., was reported in a public safety alert emailed to the campus community at 3:30 Sunday afternoon. 

The suspect is described in the alert as an 18 to 22 year-old white male, about 5-foot-11 to six feet tall with short brown hair and wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans.

According to the alert, the Metropolitan Police Department was notified and is handling the investigation.
