Laptops Stolen from Student Residence

Several laptops were stolen from a student’s residence in the 3300 block of Prospect St. Wednesday, the Department of Public Safety reported.

According to a public safety alert email sent out Wednesday afternoon, the burglary occurred at 11:45 a.m. while the residence was vacated. There were no signs of forced entry when DPS and the Metropolitan Police Department investigated.

This is the third residence burglary since the academic school year ended in May. The last crime DPS reported in a public safety alert — a robbery on June 12 —  occurred on the same block.
