The Hoya elected its spring 2010 editorial staff on Saturday.

Marissa Amendolia (COL ’11), former managing editor, was elected editor in chief, succeeding Kevin Barber (COL ’11). Former Editor in Chief Andrew Dwulet (COL ’10) was re-elected for a second term as an at-large member of the Board of Directors. Roshan Vora (MSB ’11), former business director of The Hoya, was also elected as an at-large member.

“While there are many new and promising faces on staff, a number of editors were re-elected for another term,” Amendolia said. “This mix of experience and fresh perspective allows us to build off of what we accomplished last semester and move forward in this critical moment in The Hoya’s history.” Eamon O’Connor (COL ’12), former opinion editor, was elected as executive editor. Kathryn DeVincenzo (COL ’12), former copy chief, is the new managing editor.

The new board looks forward to the coming semester, according to Amendolia.

“I hope to strengthen The Hoya’s relationship with the campus community as we continue to grow as a source of responsible and reliable journalism,” Amendolia said.
