GU Student Assaulted on Campus
A Georgetown student was reportedly attacked last week by three unknown males, according to a report filed with the Metropolitan Police Department.
Nasser Alotaibi told MPD he was walking around campus at about 12:03 a.m. on Nov. 24 when three suspects approached him. The three suspects spoke to him, and he responded that he did not speak English very well. Two of the suspects then grabbed him by his sweater and pushed him against a wall while the third suspect cut his face with an “unknown object.”
The suspects reportedly ran down the Harbin steps onto Tondorf Road towards the Leavey Center, according to a Public Safety Announcement issued by the Department of Public Safety.
The report describes the suspects as black males wearing white Georgetown sweatshirts.
GERMS, DPS and MPD all responded to the scene, and DPS and MPD both declined to comment on the status of the investigation. The police department has classified the incident as an assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for lacerations to the right side of his face and was subsequently released, according to the report.
Although the MPD report did not classify the incident as a hate crime, Dennis Williams, associate dean of students and director of the Center for Multicultural Equity and Access, said the Bias Reporting Team is investigating the incident.
The victim’s cousin, Marzouq Alotaibi, also a Georgetown student, interpreted Nasser Alotaibi’s complaint to MPD.
Nasser Alotaibi declined to comment.

Hmm ... this sounds exactly like what happened the week before. Two weeks in a row. Two groups of black males. Each time on or near campus.. Each time dressed in campus gear to blend in. Each time targeting a student by his lonesome.
Fantastic job campus safety / MPD. Keep up the fantastic work! It's good to know we're in such safe hands!

Is this just the same attack? It happened in the same location too. I think this is just a second story about the same event. But don't worry: you're still a target, and DPS won't do anything about it.

Because DPS and MPS can be everywhere at once right?

No, clearly, because they are devoting their resources to Segway Party Patrols

hi,
im nasser's alotaibi sister.i just want to say that this incident has a negative psychological impact on my yuong brother.he came to the states with great enthusiasm and huge dreames.now, i see a different frustrated person.he cant foucus on his studies any more because of the disturbance causd by this incident.my brother is still young and lack the experience and language to deal with this situation properly.he refused to talk to the media because he is a foreigner and dont know how to deal with this situation in this new country.some newspapers made the situation worse and described the incident as mysterious because he refused to talk to the media about it.these claims hurted him a lot too.we are also here suffering from the consecuences of this attack.we feel that we r about to lose our son.nasser was a socially active and optimistic guy.he bacame a frustrated, deppresed person who prefer withdrawal.if my brother's future is destroyed it will be because of those criminals and bad media which exaggerate things and disturbs people's lives.

Rusty.
Wow, you clearly have a total grasp of both MPD and DPS' operating proceedures and budgets.
Maybe now you can chime in on how bogus the keg policy is, or bitch about how you got your glass pipe snatched. Typical ignorant Joe Hoya B.S. Spew it elsewhere...
