Park yourself in front of the television on Monday, March 3 at 7 p.m. to watch the men’s basketball team triumphantly return to primetime against West Virginia. Georgetown defeated West Virginia earlier this season, 84-82, in overtime. The game, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, shifted to Monday because of the spate of postponements due to the Great Storm of ’03. Big East officials made the switch, and the athletic director and coaches have cooperated.

“When the Villanova-Seton Hall game had to be placed on the 27th [of February], it meant Villanova would have to play 3 road games in 5 days. These changes help alleviate that hardship,” said BIG EAST Commissioner Mike Tranghese.

The team has appeared many times recently on camera, most recently during their 74-72 victory over Miami on February 22, which was featured on ESPN. ABC will broadcast the Hoyas rematch against Syracuse at MCI Center on Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. The Orangemen vanquished the team in their first meeting this season, 88-80, at the Carrier Dome on February 3, which was also broadcasted on Monday night on ESPN.
