Tell us a little bit about your high school.

y high school was big into athletics and academics – I guess that’s what prepared me for coming here. We’re nationally ranked for our sporting program, so it’s a big deal to be from Long Island and to be from that school and watch it grow to be nationally recognized.

Do you have a fond memory from your high school years?

Every year we’d do what we called an “Apple Run,” and our coach would make us run about three miles from our school to an apple farm. Every year we would all just run around the corner and pile into a car and drive to the apple place, pig out on cake and cookies and cupcakes and come back and pretend like we were exhausted. That’s one of the memories that always sticks out in my mind, playing tricks on my coach. But it was fun.

Why did you pick Georgetown?

y uncle went here and I always loved hearing stories about it. It sounded like so much fun. I came here and it’s right in the middle of the city, which was perfect for me. It’s Georgetown – you have to say good things about it. I just knew it was what I’d want, and it hasn’t let me down.

What do you do in your spare time?

Usually I go down to M Street for shopping or we like to go on our roof and tan – our house has a roof, so we do that in the spare time. We hang out with our friends, anywhere we go it’s just fun and a good time.

Do you guys have a team joker?

Probably me. Sarah Fetters (MSB ’08) last year was probably our biggest team joker; she’d always make us laugh. This year, I’d probably say me. I’m probably the least serious out of anyone on the team, and I can take a joke; people make fun of me, and I don’t get upset about it.

Do you have any superstitions before you play?

I don’t think there’s anything in particular that I do, maybe doing a certain number of juggles before a game. And good music pumps us up. That definitely helps.

What was your freshman residence hall?

I lived in New South. It was the second year it was a new dorm, and so it was the cool dorm and everything was new and nice. But I remember we always used to want to go to Harbin because the people there were fun and the RAs were cool.

Do you ever do something fun with your roommates that other people might not do? Monday, we all religiously come into our living room and put on “Gossip Girl,” and we eat our Sweetgreen all together and just veg out. That’s our Monday night ritual.

Booey’s or Wisey’s?

Booey’s, just because you can get anything. And you can sit down; you don’t have to run out.
