Welcome to The Hoya, Georgetown University's newspaper of record! The Hoya is the oldest and largest student newspaper at Georgetown, and we are always looking for the new generation of Hoya staffers to continue this proud tradition.

There are eight editorial sections at The Hoya, comprised of writers, photographers, and editors: news, sports, opinion, The Guide, photography, multimedia, layout and copy.

The Hoya covers a range of events and stories both on and off campus in the News section. The sports team covers all of Georgetown's varsity athletic teams and is the best source of coverage for Hoyas Basketball. Opinion takes in the various viewpoints of campus and The Guide is The Hoya's weekly lifestyle, arts and entertainment magazine. Beyond writing, there is The Hoya's Photo section, which covers a wide range of events both on and off campus. There's also Layout, which uses Adobe InDesign to design the newspaper's print product, and the Copy section, in charge of of the paper's copy-editing, fact checking and headline writing. Interested in the web site? Online manages the website, www.thehoya.com, and Multimedia creates and edits videos to accompany The Hoya's print content.
