The complainant reported the theft of her laptop, cell phone and cash. The items were removed from a tote bag that was left unattended. No suspects or witnesses have been identified.

*Theft, Village B, 8:00 p.m.*

The complainant reported the theft of his bicycle, which he said was secured at a bicycle rack in the area of Village B. No suspects or witnesses have been identified.

**Friday, Oct. 9**

*Fire, Healy Circle, 10:08 p.m.*

A small fire in a bush near the front gates was extinguished. The fire was caused by a lit cigarette. No injuries were reported.

Aggravated Assault, 33rd and Prospect Streets NW, 2:09 a.m.

The complainant stated while walking in the area of Prospect Street he was assaulted by an unknown male. The suspect struck him on the back of his head with an open fist, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then fled the scene. The Metropolitan Police Department is conducting an investigation.
