Campus Crime Rose 7% in 2008, DPS Report Says

Reported crime on campus rose last year for the first time since 2004 and alcohol violations more than doubled, according to the Department of Public Safety’s annual crime report released Thursday. A total of 257 crimes were reported to DPS in 2008, an increase of 6.6 percent from 2007.
