As the District draws closer to legalizing same-sex marriage, Christian leaders have renewed their efforts to oppose such a law. This week, Bishop Harry Jackson, a senior pastor of Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, Md., threatened to file an initiative request with the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics, asking for marriage to be defined as a heterosexual relationship, reported The Washington Post.
