Why should I put a senior ad in THE HOYA?
Placing a senior ad in The Hoya is a great way to record your senior’s college history in Georgetown’s newspaper of record. It’s a great Georgetown tradition that can be a part of your Hoya family. Plus, it’s your last chance to embarrass your graduate before they enter the real world!
The Graduation Issue will be published on May 17, 2013. Free issues will be available at our 30+ locations on campus. You can also order copies of the Graduation Issue to be sent to your home for a small fee.
How does it work?
1. Fill out the form on page 2 and pay for your ad.
2. Email sales@thehoya.com the text and photo(s) that you want the ad to have (see details on form). You can make your own ad or leave the creative details up to the staff.
The deadline to purchase an ad and to send pictures and text is May 1, 2013.
If you can’t come to Parents’ Weekend or you forget to purchase an ad while you’re there, don’t worry. Email sales@thehoya.com to purchase an ad.
About The Hoya
The Hoya, founded in 1920, is the oldest and largest student newspaper of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., serving as the university’s newspaper of record. The Hoya is a twice-weekly, student-run paper that prints every Tuesday and Friday and online regularly throughout the year, with a print circulation of 6,500 during the academic year.
The Hoya has been a central part of the university community since its first publication in 1920. Although The Hoya is not financially independent from the university, it is produced, managed and edited entirely by students. Over 200 students are involved in the publication of the paper as reporters, photographers, designers, editors and business staff.
